Those who act sustainably are sustainable – a philosophy that we at the DEKRA Congresshotel Wart not only represent, but actively live by. We set new standards for sustainable hotels. As one of the few hotels in Germany with Green Sign Level 5 certification, we successfully combine sustainability with modern conference comfort. Sustainability is implemented through modern building technology, electricity generation from photovoltaics and regional, seasonal cuisine. Trained staff and a comprehensive waste separation system complete the concept.
Green Meetings are at the heart of the offer: they integrate all participants – from employees to participants – into a holistic sustainability concept. In this way, the hotel aims to serve as a role model for the entire event industry and contribute to its long-term sustainability.

Experience certified sustainable events
For us, sustainability is not just an empty phrase, but rather something we put into practice every day – and we can prove it.
We are particularly proud that the DEKRA Congresshotel has achieved level 5 out of a total of 5 sustainability levels in the audit by the GreenSign Institute. This means that our hotel is demonstrably one of the most environmentally friendly hotels in the northern Black Forest and we can call ourselves a “Green Sign Hotel“.
The parent company DEKRA SE also achieved the “Platinum” seal in the Ecovadis Sustainability Rating in 2020, making it one of the top 1% of companies assessed, which was confirmed again in 2024.
GreenSign Level 5
The GreenSign certificates are issued by the GreenSign Institute for Sustainable Development in the Hotel Industry. The coveted “GreenSign Hotel” certificate emphasizes our claim to reconcile our ecological commitment with social engagement and economic success. Our common goal is to preserve natural resources for future generations. That means sustainability!
Ecovadis Sustainability Rating
The requirements for sustainability are constantly growing. The ecovadis seal evaluates the ecological, social and ethical performance of a company – or in short: sustainability. This is a key factor for future viability, and not just for the DEKRA Congresshotel. We set ourselves the goal of constantly improving in this area. The ecovadis audit supports us in this.
DIN EN ISO 50001:2018
The ALL-CERT company monitors our energy management with the holistic goal of DEKRA to continuously increase annual energy savings. This involves analyzing which major energy drivers exist at the respective locations and what measures are being taken to reduce them. The ecological sustainability of energy management is therefore checked and independently certified.
Organic certification
Die Zertifizierung nach Bio-AHVV war der erste Schritt und berücksichtigt sowohl den Aufbau als auch die Darstellung der Bio-Produkte. The suppliers and storage facilities were also inspected.
Im Zuge unseres Nachhaltigkeitskonzepts streben wir nächstes Jahr die Gold-Zertifizierung an. Diese setzt einen Anteil von 90 % Bio-Produkten voraus.
Für maximale Transparenz informieren wir über Produkte, die aktuell noch nicht in Bio-Qualität verfügbar sind. These include smoked salmon, melon, ham and sausage products. Our goal remains clear: a breakfast offering that combines sustainability and enjoyment.
